Stephen Rossmeisl –
Anandá Ji / Serananda

Musical Wizard – Sound/Video Technologist – Superfood Alchemist

Stephen Rossmeisl is a lifelong, passionate high-level innovator and pioneer in transformative music and communities. He began at an early age in Philadelphia with formal trainings in drumming, guitar and singing within orchestras, as well as with his home music studio to produce his own band recordings and original compositions. Beyond early practicing, mastering and performing, Stephen’s young interests continued to encompass music composition & theory, choral singing with the Philadelphia Orchestra, and developing notable abilities across a wide variety of western and indigenous instruments.

Following education at the University of Arts, Stephen opened Turtle Studios with the goal of nurturing his pursuits in frequencies and how sound and music could be evolved as a tool for personal and collective development. Recordings and masterings included: jingles, orchestras, chorals, jazz and original singer/songwriter works. Classical music labels included: Naxos and Arabesque.

Care of an inspired universal force, Stephen stepped up his longheld fascinations and began building next generation sound instruments and methodologies encompassing geometries to deliver vibro-acoustics and sound healing experiences to empower his and his colleagues’ personal spiritual practices including meditation, visualizations and self healing.

The culmination of his love for music, recording and how diet & sound could be used as a tool for health and transformation relocated Stephen and renowned nutritionist Anowashi to San Francisco in 2002 to open Sera Soma and Sera Studios. Sera Soma offered holistic modalities for groups and individuals through sound healing sessions incorporating live instrumentations and computer enhanced musical performances, involving a series of tables, floors and chairs equipped with transducers delivering specialty crafted aural frequency medicine to provide ultimate relaxation and elated spiritual experiences.

His frequency and energy medicine innovations and pioneering continued through a number of inventions and custom made technologies involving Kirlian photography, high frequency Neurophone, chakra positioned transducer layouts on the body to accompany a variety of healing modalities, electro-frequency therapies, noble gas tube structures, sacred geometries and light sculptures, all involving music as a signal and feedback tool.

Stephen opened Sera Phi center in 2006 to expand public events and performances for larger audiences. He offered live performances (as Ananda’ Ji & Serananda), as well as many collaborations and event productions for both known, new and cutting-edge artists, such as: Karma Moffett, Mark Deutsch, Cheb I Sabbah, Mimoso, Dave Starfire, DJ Spooky, Jah Levi, Mama Crow, DJ Vixen, Amoraea Dreamseed and Makyo.

Ananda’ Ji / Serananda performances and collaborations at major festivals have included: Burning Man installations premiering the playa’s first 10,000 Watt Sound Floor experience, Harmony Festival, A Call to Council and more.

Sera Phi scaled up to a larger facility in San Francisco in 2009 as a venue to accommodate a superfoods cafe, an improved recording studio and a bigger, finalized vibro-acoustic dance floor. This provided a unique break out platform and experience for new labels and up & coming musicians for their first opportunity to perform in SF. Many visionary presenters, artists, researchers and groups and culture thrived at Sera Phi including: The Awakening Project, The Evolver Network, Burning Man, The Template with Jiva Carter, Entheon Village, Steve Satra and Graham Hancock. Art shows included: Luke Brown, Carey Thompson, Pierre, JakobEye and Stas Rutkowski.

Stephen maintained and developed recognition as an experientially creating artist-musician, working with visual and space shaping reality augmentation, while incorporating custom light sculptures and programs focused on fractality and multi-dimensional travel, as well as the brainwave visual analyzer of pioneering engineer Masahiro Kahata of Neurofox and Psychic Lab. Taking a hiatus from event production, Stephen moved to beautiful nature environments in Marin, north of SF, and worked on instrument creation and advancing sound healing and nootropic medicine explorations.

Stephen then relocated Sera Phi in late 2015 to the East Coast to a 4,000 sq ft immersive venue as a recording, mastering, live streaming VR performance center and production house, working with creative collaborator and technology pioneer Stas Rutkowski. Sera Phi Philadelphia has offered a series of public and private shows incorporating shamanic sound journeys, VR projections, computer brain interface, sound healing tables, ecstatic dance, yoga and embodiment.

As a production house with Stas and 360°, Sera Phi produced a series of fundraising events in NY for Multidimensional Association of Psychedelic Studies that was live VR casted and involved a dinner, panel discussion, local bands, electronic artists and DJs within a holographic projected and holistic setting. Sera Phi has since moved to a new location in Philadelphia and has been hosting special events for thousands of people.
